We’re working with a well-established children’s residential care provider to recruit a Deputy Manager for a small, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ home (with ‘Outstanding’ for Leadership & Management) supporting up to four children. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, high-performing service and play a key role in maintaining and further developing the quality of care provided.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the leadership and development of the staff team
- Ensuring safeguarding practices are embedded across the service
- Assisting with care planning, risk assessments, and reviews
- Leading shifts and deputising in the absence of the Registered Manager
- Supporting Ofsted compliance and contributing to inspections
- Promoting a positive, stable, and nurturing environment for young people
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience within children’s residential care
- Previous senior or supervisory experience (Deputy or Senior level)
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
- A passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
