RJS Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of a care home in Penzance. As a Waking Night Care Assistant, you will help residents feel safe, comfortable and well supported throughout the night. You will be joining a friendly team that puts dignity, kindness and individual choice at the heart of its care.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting residents with their individual night-time routines
  • Responding promptly and calmly to call bells
  • Assisting with personal care, toileting, repositioning and hydration
  • Carrying out regular wellbeing and safety checks
  • Following individual care plans and reporting any concerns
  • Accurately updating electronic care records
  • Helping to maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment
  • Providing a clear and detailed handover to the day team

About You

  • A calm, caring and patient approach
  • Previous experience in a healthcare capacity, all settings considered
  • The confidence to work independently when required
  • Good communication and observation skills
