Registered Manager – New Children's Residential Home Location: Solihull, West Midlands Salary: £45,000 + 10% shareholding in the business Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: Immediate We are working with an experienced team who are returning to the children's residential care sector following the successful sale of their previous provider. They are now establishing a new children's residential service in Solihull and are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to play a key role in launching and developing the business. This is a particularly interesting opportunity for an ambitious Registered Manager, as the successful candidate will receive a 10% shareholding in the entire business, rather than simply the individual home. The Opportunity The provider has an established relationship with the local authority, including the Solihull commissioning team, and is now preparing to move forward with the registration of their new home. The property is a spacious 5-bed, 1,800 sq. ft. home with a large garden and excellent local amenities, including parks, shops and other facilities. The exact care specialism will be determined around the successful Manager's experience, with the home intended to support young people with either Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) or Learning Disabilities (LD). An experienced Responsible Individual is already in place, having previously worked with the owners and bringing a strong understanding of the sector and the registration process. The Role As Registered Manager, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of the service from the outset, working alongside the Responsible Individual to progress the necessary applications and establish the home ahead of opening. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the registration process and preparing the home for opening
Developing and implementing the home's statement of purpose and operational framework
Building and leading a high-quality care team
Establishing strong standards of safeguarding and care
Developing relationships with professionals, families and commissioning teams
Ensuring the home is prepared to meet regulatory requirements
Overseeing referrals and placement planning
Creating a positive, child-centred culture within the home
Taking responsibility for the ongoing management and development of the service
About You We are looking for a proven Registered Manager who has successfully led a children's residential home previously. You will ideally have: Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care
A successful track record of managing and developing a children's home
Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015
Experience working with either EBD or LD services
Strong leadership and staff-management skills
A genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people
