RJS Resourcing is currently working with an established provider of children's residential care who are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead one of their established homes in the Birmingham/Dudley area. The home is rated Good by Ofsted and has a supportive and experienced senior leadership team in place. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Registered Manager to build on strong foundations, shape the service and make a lasting difference to the lives of young people.

The Role

You will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of a 3-bed children's residential home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Working alongside an experienced senior leadership team, you will be responsible for maintaining the high standards already established within the home while continuing to develop the service and achieve positive outcomes for the young people.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strong and consistent leadership to the home and wider care team
  • Ensuring the home continues to meet Ofsted expectations and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and care
  • Supporting, developing and managing the staff team
  • Ensuring young people receive individualised, child-centred care
  • Working closely with professionals, families and other agencies
  • Maintaining strong operational and regulatory standards
  • Identifying opportunities to further develop the home and improve outcomes

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years experience managing a children's residential home
  • A proven track record of achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
  • Strong safeguarding and staff-management skills
  • A confident, child-centred leadership style
  • Experience supporting young people with EBD would be beneficial
