Assistant Care Manager in Penzance

Staff Supervisor Residential Care | Penzance | £30,000 to £35,000

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established care provider for the position of Staff Supervisor in one of their residential care homes in Cornwall. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in care and leadership who is ready to support the homes operational and staffing excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise care staff to maintain high standards of care delivery.

• Oversee HR processes, including rotas, recruitment, training, appraisals, and absence management.

• Act as a key point of contact for HR-related matters, ensuring policy compliance.

• Support the Home Manager and deputise in their absence.

• Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals.

• Complete audits and reports aligned with CQC and organisational standards.

What We\’re Looking For:

• Minimum Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 4/5 in Leadership & Management desirable).

• At least 4 years of experience in the care sector with supervisory or management duties.

• Confident with rota systems, care audits, and HR coordination.

• Strong people management skills and a compassionate leadership style.

• Clean driving licence and ability to travel between sites if required.
