RJP are looking for you! We want to discover the next fantastic talent to join our hospitality teams in Salou, Spain. We are ready to build our teams for our award-winning venues, House of Illusion, Houdinis Attic, Chaplins Salou, and the brand new East Street.

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Chef to organise the kitchen’s activities. You will be the first in command in the kitchen and will create and inspect dishes before they arrive at the customers, ensuring high quality and contentment. You will oversee many diverse aspects of the hospitality sector at one (or more) of our selected venues, managing and working closely with the assistant chef, creating menu items, preparing and maintaining the quality of the menu, and determining food inventory needs.

Responsibilities
  • Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities.
  • Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings.
  • Approve and “polish” dishes before they reach the customer.
  • Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages.
  • Arrange for repairs when necessary.
  • Remedy any problems or defects.
  • Oversee the work of subordinates.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a chef.
  • The exceptional proven ability of kitchen management.
  • Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitor progress.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimised kitchen processes.
  • Good understanding of useful computer programs (Google, restaurant management software, POS).
  • Credentials in health and safety training.
