As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead projects from £10k to £25m+, ensuring they run seamlessly from concept to completion. Your expertise in engineering, supply-chain management, contract negotiation, and onsite execution will directly impact the efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance of power and industrial plants worldwide.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan, direct, and manage all technical, financial, and administrative aspects of projects.
- Oversee projects from design and engineering through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Define project goals, budgets, and schedules, ensuring they are met or exceeded.
- Act as RJM’s primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Develop and implement action plans to avoid delays, mitigate risks, and control costs.
- Evaluate bids and manage external subcontractors and engineering consultants.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and RJM’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Negotiate contract terms and scope changes with suppliers and clients.
- Establish design criteria and oversee preliminary engineering.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- 10+ years’ experience in engineering project management on small and large projects.
- Prior knowledge of power plants, combustion systems, or emissions reduction technology.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
