As a CFD Engineer, you will perform advanced CFD analysis, help develop innovative combustion system designs, and contribute to the future of low-carbon energy solutions. In this role, you will:
- Perform CFD simulations for combustion and emissions control in power generation projects.
- Conduct process calculations and engineering assessments to validate CFD results.
- Design and optimise ultra-low NOx burners firing coal, biomass, oil, gas, and hydrogen.
- Work closely with process and mechanical engineers to develop combustion solutions.
- Engage with clients and project teams to present findings, solutions, and recommendations.
- Support site-based diagnostic testing, commissioning, and design verification.

Must-Haves:
- MEng or PhD in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering, ideally with a combustion focus.
- 2+ years in industrial CFD, ideally within power generation, emissions control, or combustion R&D.
- Strong proficiency in ANSYS Fluent for combustion analysis.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and combustion chemistry.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong verbal and written English language skills for preparing technical presentations and reports.
Desirables:
- Prior experience CFD modelling boilers and firing systems.
- Understanding of emissions formation (NOx, CO, SOx, particulates, etc.).
- Programming skills (Python, C++, FORTRAN, or VBA) for CFD automation.
