We are a friendly family business seeking a Residential Heating and Plumbing Engineer to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing/heating systems across our portfolio of residential customers. This role requires strong mechanical skills, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The ideal applicant will possess a positive attitude, relevant technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the physical capability to undertake tasks relating to installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing/heating systems. For a suitable candidate, we offer further opportunities to grow and up-skill towards F-Gas certification towards residential AC installations, repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Install, service, and repair heating systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Perform plumbing tasks related to heating systems, including pipe fitting and connections
  • Use soldering and brazing techniques to join components where necessary
  • Engage in assembly of heating units or components as part of installation or repair processes
  • Conduct mechanical inspections to diagnose faults and determine appropriate solutions
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment efficiently and safely
  • Carry out simple carpentry tasks for system supports or housing modifications when required
  • Utilise basic mathematics skills for measurements, calculations, and system adjustments
  • Conduct lifting of equipment or materials safely to meet project requirements
  • Drive commercial vehicles as needed for transportation of tools or parts between sites

Skills/Experience
  • Proven experience in heating system installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to heating systems and related components
  • Proficiency with soldering, brazing, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly tasks
  • Experience with working on both residential and commercial projects is advantageous
  • Competence in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
  • Physical fitness capable of heavy lifting and working in demanding environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, ability to perform basic mathematics accurately for measurements and calculations
  • Commitment to health & safety regulations and best practices
