RJC has partnered with a global energy trading house, looking for a Traded Market Risk Analyst to sit on the benchmark bench of their Gas & Power unit, providing real‑time risk insight and challenging decision making across complex physical and financial portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on‑desk monitoring of daily market risk (stress tests, Greeks, exposures) for gas and power trading books.
• Challenge trade structures, pricing assumptions, and risk model outputs in real time.
• Ensure accurate and timely risk capture in systems, coordinating closely with trading, quants and middle office.
• Support development of risk methodologies, scenarios and limit frameworks tailored to desk strategies.
• Contribute to market insight, supply/demand analysis and forward‑curve interpretation for risk decision‑making.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of European gas and power markets, trading strategies and market structure.
• Experience in traded market risk, energy analytics or closely related front‑office risk roles.
• Proficiency with data and analytics tools (Python, Excel, VBA).

Package

• Base salary up to £80k plus bonus up to 30 %.
