Business Development Manager – Professional Haircare
Territory: North London | Field-based
Are you someone who enjoys getting out, meeting people and building relationships that turn into lasting business?
I’m recruiting for a Business Development Manager to represent an established professional haircare brand across North London. This is a role for someone who enjoys being part of their customers’ success, understands what makes a business tick and has the drive to open new doors.
The opportunity
You’ll build relationships with salon owners and their teams, developing existing accounts and introducing the brand to new salons across your territory.
It’s about more than taking an order. You’ll get to know each salon, understand its ambitions and identify how the right products, education and support can help it grow.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing and developing salon accounts across North London.
- Identifying and winning new business through proactive prospecting, salon visits and follow-up.
- Building trusted relationships with salon owners, managers and their teams.
- Growing sales by understanding customer needs and recommending relevant opportunities.
- Bringing products, launches and promotions to life through engaging conversations.
- Working with education and wider commercial teams to support your customers.
- Planning your diary and travel effectively to maintain consistent territory coverage.
- Keeping accurate account records and taking ownership of sales targets and your pipeline.
About you
Professional hair industry experience would be preferred. You might already work in haircare sales, or come from a salon background with strong commercial experience and the confidence to develop business.
I’m also open to people from comparable backgrounds, such as professional beauty, salon services or relationship-led field sales. What matters is that you can demonstrate how you build customer relationships, win business and grow accounts.
You’ll bring:
- A personable, confident approach and a genuine interest in your customers.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to turn conversations into opportunities.
- The resilience to prospect, follow up and keep going when a sale takes time.
- Good organisation and the ability to manage your own territory and diary.
- A willingness to learn the products and understand the professional salon market.
- A full, valid driving licence and the ability to travel regularly across North London — essential for this field-based role.
Interested?
If you enjoy building relationships, developing a territory and seeing the impact of your work, I’d love to hear from you.
