We're recruiting on behalf of a growing client for an HR Advisor to join their fast-paced Human Resources team, providing expert colleague relations support across their Shops and Head Offices.
This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, moves fast, and genuinely cares about getting outcomes right β for the business and for its people.
What you'll be doing You'll be the go-to expert for colleague relations casework, advising Regional Managers, Area Managers, Administrators, HR Advisors, Head Office teams, Heads of Department, and Directors on a wide range of issues β from routine queries to complex, high-stakes cases.
Day to day, you'll: Provide sound, practical HR advice that balances legal compliance with commercial common sense Lead on disciplinary, grievance, and appeal casework β drafting correspondence and attending meetings as a trusted advisor Influence and coach managers to adopt best practice and reduce recurring people issues Help shape and roll out new people policies, processes, and templates that add real value Manage a high-volume caseload with confidence, keeping your workload log sharp and up to date Dig into data β sickness trends, turnover, org charts β to spot patterns and inform decisions Support payroll administration when needed Build strong relationships across the wider people team and manage stakeholders with credibility and tact What we're looking for Someone who combines strong employment law knowledge with excellent judgement, resilience under pressure, and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
You'll be organised, analytical, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities without losing sight of the detail.
