About the Role:

We’re looking for an Interim Engineering Maintenance Planner to join the team for an initial 6-month period to help us take our Engineering Preventative Maintenance System to the next level. If you’re ready to jump in, make an impact, and see some quick wins, we\’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety First: You’ll be the safety guardian, ensuring compliance with safety standards across all activities, including managing external contractors. You’ll keep everything running smoothly while maintaining top-notch safety protocols.
  • Planning & Scheduling Master: You’ll be the go-to expert for creating and implementing a risk-based maintenance strategy, ensuring all planned work is executed on time while hitting key performance targets.
  • Data Integrity Wizard: You\’ll ensure the CMMS system remains accurate and up-to-date, tracking all maintenance tasks, work orders, and performance metrics to the letter.
  • Material Guru: Anticipating and ensuring the right materials are available for scheduled works is key to your role. You’ll review equipment BOMs, provide accurate material estimates, and ensure parts are always on hand when needed.
  • Continuous Improvement (CI) Leader: Your focus will be on refining and optimizing performance maintenance tasks. You’ll help drive reduced downtime, improved reliability, and higher maintenance efficiency across the board.
  • Supplier Superhero: You’ll ensure external service contracts are running smoothly, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and keeping things on track throughout your time with us.
  • What You Bring to the Table (A.K.A. Your Superpowers):
  • Engineering Background: A Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent experience) is desirable. If you’ve got solid experience in maintenance planning, we’re all ears!
  • FMCG Experience: You’ve been around the block in a fast-paced environment, ideally within stores management in manufacturing or production.
  • Health & Safety Know-How: You’re familiar with Health & Safety systems and regulations (IOSH certification is a bonus!).
  • Tech-Savvy: You’re well-versed in Microsoft Office, SAP, and other relevant software – you’ll use them to streamline processes and keep things running smoothly.
  • Communication & Problem-Solving Skills: You know how to collaborate and build relationships while solving problems quickly and effectively with data-driven solutions.
  • Decision-Making Pro: You’re able to make quick, impactful decisions with the team’s best interests at heart. You’re solution-oriented, even under pressure.
