Role Description

The Commissioning Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position.

The Commissioning Engineer will carry out commissioning and testing of HVAC, mechanical, and related building services systems, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and in line with relevant standards and client specifications.

Day-to-day responsibilities include balancing ventilation and water systems in line with CIBSE codes, troubleshooting; producing accurate test reports and documentation; and collaborating with project managers, site teams, and clients to resolve technical issues.

The role involves working on a variety of projects testing ventilation, and water systems, applying regulatory knowledge and site-specific procedures to support compliance and performance.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong mechanical Engineering knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Candidates should have hands-on experience as Commissioning Engineers, with proven ability in system start-up, commissioning, and performance verification.
  • Candidates should demonstrate effective Troubleshooting skills for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical and operational issues.
  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering (CSA grading preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures, with strong attention to detail and accurate reporting skills.
  • Good communication skills, a safety-focused mindset, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
