RJ Power is looking for a Project Manager to lead and deliver maintenance and project works on time, within budget and to specification, maximising engineer utilisation to improve efficiency and reduce downtime, while building strong client relationships to support business growth and providing effective line management to technical and support staff to drive high performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project pre‐construction information to understand the specifications and other deliverable requirements of the project.
  • Develop and implement core project documentation to enable the safe and efficient delivery of projects.
  • Create and maintain a project file for each project and retain all project documentation in accordance with our Document Control procedure.
  • Implement the requirements of the Clients Construction Phase Plan on site and develop core project documentation, ex: RAMS, Task Briefing Sheets and Safe Systems of Work Packs, O&Ms as required, to enable the safe and efficient delivery of projects.
  • Co‐ordinate project construction activity with all stakeholders to minimise risks that could jeopardise the successful delivery of the project.
  • Lead and undertake Project Review Meetings as necessary to keep all parties informed of progress against delivery plan, identification of project variance and any changes to project scope.
  • Manage project and commercial change via standard protocol.
  • Amend the project delivery plan to consider changes to project scope and project variance.
  • Provide the client with a completed Health and Safety file as part of project hand back.
  • Receive a certificate of completion from the client following project hand back.
  • Report and undertake investigations to any accident or incident that has occurred on your project, keeping all interested parties updated on the details of the event and any actions arising from it.
  • Lead and manage your team by undertaking performance reviews and ensuring that each member understands their roles and responsibilities on the project.
  • Update and complete Key Performance Indicator requirements.
  • Provide line management for an allocated group of engineers or supporting/administration staff.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Possess a professional project management qualification e.g. APM, Prince2 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role within the electrical or construction industry.
  • Has a good working knowledge of CDM regulations and general health and safety legislation in respect to project delivery.
  • Can demonstrate a good level of commercial understanding.
  • Professional Project Management Qualification (AMP, Prince2, PMI Practitioner Level).
  • Has line management experience and can demonstrate evidence of successfully managing team performance.
  • Holds a full driving licence.
  • Can demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to manage own time in an efficient and effective manner, taking into consideration key milestone deadlines.
  • Able to work to strict deadlines and respond to requests and enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Able to adhere to policy and processes.
  • Able to multi‐task.
  • Can work under pressure, be flexible and adaptable.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Takes a proactive approach and has a willingness to contribute new ideas.
  • Ability to work within a team but can also take the lead where required.
  • Willing to take responsibility and accountability to follow tasks through to completion.

After 2 years of continuous service, 1 extra day's leave per year, up to a maximum of 5.
