Reporting to the Group Head of Procurement & Supply Chain and Finance Director (RJ Mc Leod), the Procurement Manager will support the development and delivery of procurement strategies that drive value, efficiency and operational excellence across the business.
This role will work closely with key stakeholders across operational and corporate functions to optimise purchasing activities, strengthen supplier relationships, and deliver cost savings while maintaining quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of procurement strategies, policies and procedures aligned with organisational objectives, best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership, coaching and support to a small team of procurement professionals, creating a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, department heads and suppliers, ensuring procurement activity reflects business priorities.
- Lead procurement activity and develop strong local supplier relationships to optimise cost, quality and delivery, while managing risk.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of procurement technology, systems and tools to automate processes and improve data visibility.
- Ensure a strong focus on the accurate and timely preparation of Purchase Orders and contracts.
- Support supplier performance management through regular evaluations, audits and reviews, resolving issues and driving continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, generate savings and deliver greater value to the organisation.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
You will be an experienced procurement or supply chain professional, ideally with a projects background, with a proven track record of delivering procurement strategies and leading teams.
You’ll bring
- Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop others.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with confidence engaging at all levels of an organisation.
- Strong commercial, analytical and strategic-thinking abilities.
- Proven negotiation and contract-management skills.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and driving supplier performance.
- Strong project-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver to deadlines.
- Good knowledge of procurement best practice, industry trends and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience using procurement systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for analysis, reporting and decision-making.
- A commitment to professionalism, integrity and ethical procurement practices.
A relevant degree or professional qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline is preferred.
CIPS membership or professional accreditation would be advantageous.
