Role Overview

We are looking for a vintage-obsessed, fit-focused Senior Designer to join the design team on a 12-month maternity cover. Working closely with the Creative Director and wider design team, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the creative direction across all categories, including accessories, knitwear, wovens, denim and shoes. Experience across accessories and jewellery would be highly beneficial, supporting RIXO’s growing lifestyle and non-apparel categories alongside core garment design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop seasonal collections in line with the RIXO brand identity
  • Take ownership of specific categories, capsules or special projects from concept to production
  • Work collaboratively with the Creative Director to interpret and execute creative direction
  • Support the design and development of accessories and jewellery ranges where required
  • Create detailed design packs, sketches and specifications for sampling and production
  • Attend fittings, contributing to fit, balance and styling decisions
  • Partner closely with print, product development and production teams to ensure cohesive product stories
  • Mentor and support junior members of the design team
  • Stay informed on market trends, vintage references and commercial opportunities relevant to the brand

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a Senior Designer role within a fashion brand, with a strong portfolio highlighting originality, creativity, and technical expertise
  • Strong background in womenswear garment design
  • Experience designing or developing accessories and/or jewellery is highly desirable
  • Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabrication and fit
  • Confident working across multiple categories and managing competing priorities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commercial awareness with a creative, detail-driven approach
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
