Social Media Manager

A grant‑making charitable foundation is looking for a part‑time Social Media Manager to lead and grow our online presence. This is a hybrid role open to UK‑based candidates, with a preference for those based in or near London who can attend occasional in‑person meetings. There's real scope for the role to develop as our activity and audience grow.

What you'll do

• Manage and maintain the Foundation's social media presence, posting several times a week across our channels (Instagram, LinkedIn).
• Create, schedule, and publish content that reflects the Foundation's voice and values.
• Engage regularly with our social media audiences – replying to comments, liking posts, and re‑sharing content.
• Update and maintain the news section of the Foundation's website.
• Plan and manage a content schedule across platforms.
• Liaise with partner charities and organisations to coordinate press and exhibition material for review and approval.
• Support the Foundation's wider communications as the role develops.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience managing social media accounts, ideally for a foundation, charity, or values‑led organisation.
• Strong skills in creating and scheduling content, particularly for Instagram.
• Confidence updating website content (experience with Sanity or other common CMS platforms is a plus).
• Excellent written communication, with a good eye for tone and brand voice.
• Well organised, self‑directed, and comfortable working independenty.
• Able to attend occasional meetings in London and collaborate with external partners such as charities and press contacts.
