Overview
General cleaning all areas of the nursing home, using appropriate substances. Leaving those areas ready for use. Shampooing of all carpets in those areas on a regular basis as agreed. Particular attention to bedroom areas of residents with continence problems. Using appropriate substances. Daily cleaning of all bathrooms, sinks in bedrooms and staff areas, all toilet areas. Using appropriate substances with particular regard to general cleaning and prevention of infection. Daily emptying of all waste bins. To ensure equipment does not block corridors or areas in use, and to give particular attention when using equipment with leads. Maintain personal hygiene and neat appearance. General cleanliness of equipment and substances storage areas.
Responsibilities
- General cleaning of all areas of the nursing home, using appropriate cleaning substances and leaving areas ready for use.
- Shampooing of all carpets in defined areas on a regular basis as agreed, with particular attention to bedroom areas of residents with continence problems.
- Daily cleaning of all bathrooms, sinks in bedrooms and staff areas, and all toilet areas, with emphasis on infection prevention.
- Daily emptying of all waste bins.
- Ensure equipment does not block corridors or areas in use and give particular attention when using equipment with leads.
- Maintain general cleanliness of storage areas for equipment and cleaning substances.
- Follow Health & Safety, Hygiene, Control of Infection procedures and Fire Prevention and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
- Must have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, substances, sprays, etc.
