Salary: Grade E SCP11 SCP17 Actual salary £20,656 - £22,769 per annum Plus SEN Allowance of £1,130 per annum

31.75 hours per week Term Time Plus 5 days Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.20pm 4 days a week and 8.30am to 3.25pm 1 day a week, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Overview: The school wishes to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with students with special needs, including those with Educational Healthcare Plans and with their families and supporting agencies. The role focuses on helping to support learning and the development of positive behaviour and social skills for those students diagnosed with Developmental Language Disorders. The successful applicant will work within the Speech and Language resource provision, liaising with teachers, parents and therapists to support the children.

We seek an outstanding and caring professional who can:

  • Work directly with DLD students within the resource provision; working under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom.
  • Acquire/use specialist knowledge in particular areas and assist the teacher in the planning, management and preparation of resources.
  • Supervise the resource provision during the absence of a Lead teacher / Level 4 Teaching Assistant.
