Overview
Rivington and Blackrod High School wish to appoint a Pastoral Year Lead with experience of working with young people, families and external agencies to provide support to students to overcome any barriers to learning. The successful applicant will adopt a positive, proactive approach to behaviour, punctuality and attendance issues to enable students to maximise their potential.
Responsibilities
The role will include promoting and ensuring safeguarding and the health and safety and good behaviour of pupils at all times including managing incidents of inappropriate behaviour. You will be working with students to increase their confidence thus enabling them to achieve their full potential, empowering students to exercise a positive influence on their peers. You will provide guidance to support their social, health and hygiene development, providing information, advice and guidance to help students to make positive choices about their own learning, behaviour and attendance and encourage the development of independent learning. You will support students to meet school standards, updating CPOMS and other systems to record relevant data.
