This is a newly created role, designed to take Riviera's insights capability to the next level. The Senior Business Insight Manager will lead a team of analysts to deliver actionable insight, performance commentary, and deep customer understanding that empowers every department to make smarter, faster decisions. Key Responsibilities- Lead Insight Delivery: Drive the creation of clear, actionable insight, performance commentary, and customer research that directly influences business outcomes.
- Go beyond the numbers—interpret customer and consumer behaviour, uncover the "why" behind the "what" and ensure the business truly understands its customers' motivations, needs, and pain points.
- Own and Run Key Meetings: Take ownership of regular performance, commercial, and trading meetings—preparing decision-ready content, leading discussions, and ensuring actions are captured and delivered.
- Voice of the Customer: Be the business' expert on customer understanding—owning the interpretation of customer feedback, synthesising research, and ensuring the "voice of the customer" is embedded in every decision.
- Proactive Information Flow: Don’t just wait for requests—proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and bring them to the business before they’re asked for.
- Rapid Response: Triage and answer business questions quickly and effectively, whether they come from stakeholders or are self-identified through your team’s analysis.
- Storytelling & Influence: Translate complex analysis into compelling narratives that inspire action at every level of the business.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across departments (Marketing, Finance, Product, Technology, and more), acting as a trusted advisor and proactive partner.
- Prioritisation & Clarity: Own the intake and triage of requests, bringing structure and transparency to what the team is working on and why.
- Mentor, develop, and inspire a team of analysts—setting goals, running regular 1:1s, and building commercial acumen and confidence.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and learning—constantly seeking ways to improve how we deliver insight and support the business.
- Support Analytics Transformation: Play a key role in centralising analytics as a cross-departmental function, helping to define standards, processes, and best practices for the future.
- Significant experience in business analytics, insight generation, or performance reporting roles.
- Deep curiosity about customer and consumer behaviour, with a proven ability to interpret the "why" behind the data—not just the "what".
- Exceptional data storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to turn analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience engaging, influencing and presenting to Senior stakeholders, translating complex data into clear business focused Insights and compelling narratives that support and drive decision making.
- Strong prioritisation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience leading and or mentoring a team of analysts.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver impactful insight under tight deadlines.
- Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, marketing, and customer teams.
- Commercial acumen and a passion for building capability in others.
- Experience in customer research, feedback interpretation, or embedding customer understanding in business decisions.
