You will combine commercial thinking, customer insight, and creative storytelling to strengthen awareness, consideration, and loyalty among solo travellers.
Working through a cross-departmental Solo Taskforce, you will lead and coordinate initiatives across Product, Marketing, Trade, Sales, Operations, Customer Service and the Tour Manager community—aligning priorities, defining deliverables, and driving projects from brief to launch. You will ensure the Solo brand promise is reflected in product design, onboard experience, communications, and service standards, using performance and feedback (including NPS) to identify opportunities and deliver measurable improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Own the Solo proposition as a “brand within a brand”, ensuring a clear and differentiated customer promise across product, marketing communications and on-holiday delivery.
- Lead the cross-departmental Solo Taskforce: set agenda, align stakeholders, agree priorities, track actions and drive timely delivery of initiatives.
- Project-manage cross-functional workstreams (e.g., proposition enhancements, service improvements, content initiatives, training rollouts), moving projects from insight and brief through to implementation and post-launch review.
- Act as the internal Solo subject-matter expert and ambassador—supporting PR and comms, delivering presentations, contributing to podcasts/interviews, and representing Riviera with external partners where required.
- Build deep understanding of Riviera’s solo travellers—their motivations, barriers and needs—and translate insight into improvements that support conversion, retention and NPS.
- Continuously review, refine and enhance Solo itineraries and experiences to ensure they remain compelling, relevant and competitive.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure consistent standards for accommodation, transport and tour content, resolving issues and driving quality improvements.
- Identify and develop new Solo product opportunities, researching and creating new itineraries in a cost-effective way and in line with customer expectations.
- Undertake overseas visits to develop the Solo product and proposition, following up on actions and learnings on return.
- Support brochure and website content creation by providing detailed tour notes, checking accuracy of copy and ensuring amendments are implemented.
- Deliver engaging product and proposition training to internal teams and the Tour Manager community, helping embed the Solo brand standards and service expectations.
- Benchmark against competitors and stay informed of market activity to maintain and strengthen Riviera’s competitive edge in the Solo segment.
- Manage and support customer service case responses (through the Icase system), ensuring timely resolution of supplier- and service-related issues.
- Be flexible and responsive to changing business needs, including occasional overseas travel and out-of-hours support when required.
- Proven experience in a senior role within the travel industry.
- Strong commercial awareness, customer focus and numerical accuracy.
- Brand/proposition management mindset with the ability to translate insight into a clear customer promise and consistent delivery.
- Strong cross-functional project management skills: planning, stakeholder alignment, action tracking and delivery to deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to methodically manage a demanding workload during peak periods.
- Culturally aware and confident representing Riviera Travel to international partners.
