We are looking for an experienced designer to join a fast-paced in-house studio environment. This role requires a highly creative and detail-oriented individual who can deliver high-quality work across multiple channels, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Role Purpose

As part of Riviera’s evolving, insight‑driven Marketing function, the Designer plays a key role in delivering high‑quality creative across digital and print channels. This role focuses on producing visually compelling, brand‑led design that enhances customer experience, supports campaign performance and elevates Riviera’s storytelling. Working alongside the Lead Designer and collaborating with the wider Content Studio, you will create beautifully crafted assets across web, email, social, brochures and other marketing touchpoints. This is a hands‑on creative role combining conceptual development, layout design, brand guardianship and multi‑format production. You will help maintain Riviera’s visual identity, bring new ideas to the table, and ensure consistency, clarity and creativity across everything we produce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative & Visual Design
    • Design high‑quality marketing assets across digital and print, including assets for web pages, emails, social media, brochures, direct mail, display ads and campaign collateral.
    • Create visually engaging layouts that follow Riviera’s brand identity while pushing creative standards forward.
    • Adapt assets for multiple channels, ensuring consistency, optimisation and accessibility for each format and platform.
    • Develop design concepts for campaign creative, brand moments and seasonal offer collateral.
  • Campaign Development & Execution
    • Work with the Lead Designer, Senior Content Manager, and Content Studio to bring campaign ideas to life.
    • Translate campaign briefs into clear and compelling creative executions that meet commercial and customer objectives.
    • Produce end‑to‑end campaign assets from initial concept through to final delivered files.
  • Digital Design
    • Create web‑ready graphics, content blocks and promotional assets for Riviera’s website.
    • Design email assets, banners, and visual elements for CRM workflows and customer journeys.
    • Produce social‑first creative and adapt brand assets for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube including paid social.
  • Print & Offline Collateral
    • Support the creation of printed collateral including brochures, inserts, press ads and event materials.
    • Ensure all artwork is produced to the highest standard and prepared correctly for print production.
    • Liaise with internal teams and suppliers as needed to support accurate, on-time delivery.
  • Brand Guardianship
    • Help maintain and evolve Riviera’s visual identity system across channels.
    • Ensure consistent colours, typography, layout rules and tone across all design outputs.
    • Contribute to the development of templates, design guidelines and shared creative toolkits.
  • Collaboration & Cross‑Team Communication
    • Work closely with Copywriters, Content Execs, CRM, Digital and Social teams to deliver cohesive campaign outputs.
    • Participate in creative reviews, feedback sessions and studio collaboration stand-ups.
    • Provide constructive feedback to colleagues and help elevate the quality of design across the team.
    • Share ideas, innovations and learnings to support team development.
  • File, Time & Workflow Management
    • Prepare, organise and manage design files to ensure smooth version control and easy accessibility.
    • Upload final assets into a central Asset Bank with correct naming, licensing and tagging.
    • Manage multiple projects, balancing priorities and maintaining quality in a fast‑paced environment.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a similar creative field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a design role within an agency, studio or in-house team.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, brand work, and multi-channel execution across digital and print.
  • Experience designing for both digital and print within a studio, agency or in‑house environment.
  • Excellent layout, typography and composition skills.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, brand identity systems and multi‑channel creative.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering polished, accurate work.
  • Confident communicator able to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong time‑management and organisational skills, comfortable working to deadlines.
  • Understanding of print production and artwork preparation.
  • Knowledge of DAM systems, templates or design system tools.
  • Aware of emerging AI tools and how they can support creative workflows.

Desirable

  • Experience designing for travel, hospitality, lifestyle or other premium sectors.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI basics or web‑optimised design.
  • Understanding of email design best practice and CRM‑driven creative.
  • Ability to produce simple GIFs or motion‑enhanced assets.
  • Familiarity with video production and editing including Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.

Ways of Working

Embedded within the Content Studio, collaborating closely with Designers, Copywriters, Content Execs, CRM and Digital teams. Works closely with the Lead Designer to ensure creative alignment, brand consistency and continuous improvement. Engages in concept sessions, critiques and creative development processes. Communicates effectively across teams to manage expectations and deliver work on time. Contributes to a positive, supportive studio culture where creativity and collaboration drive results. Proactively seeks opportunities to innovate, improve workflows and enhance visual storytelling.

We operate hybrid working with 2-3 days per week in the office.
