As our business grows and our ambitions expand, we need leaders who can help us build - not just deliver more of the same. This position is central to shaping a modern, centralised analytics function that supports every department, drives innovation, and unlocks new opportunities, empowering the business to make smarter, faster decisions through robust, scalable, and user-friendly analytics solutions.
The Senior Business Insight Manager will lead a team of analysts to deliver actionable insight, performance commentary, and deep customer understanding that empowers every department to make smarter, faster decisions. This is your opportunity to help build a centralised insight function that’s not just delivering more of the same but raising the bar for what’s possible.
We’re looking for someone who is excited by the chance to create, influence, and lead - who sees analytics and insight as a way to transform how we work, understand our customers, and make decisions. This role is about building the future, not just maintaining the present.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Insight Delivery: Drive the creation of clear, actionable insight, performance commentary, and customer research that directly influences business outcomes.
- Go beyond the numbers—interpret customer and consumer behaviour, uncover the “why” behind the “what” and ensure the business truly understands its customers’ motivations, needs, and pain points.
- Own and Run Key Meetings: Take ownership of regular performance, commercial, and trading meetings—preparing decision-ready content, leading discussions, and ensuring actions are captured and delivered.
- Voice of the Customer: Be the business’ expert on customer understanding—owning the interpretation of customer feedback, synthesising research, and ensuring the “voice of the customer” is embedded in every decision.
- Proactive Information Flow: Don’t just wait for requests—proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and bring them to the business before they’re asked for.
- Rapid Response: Triage and answer business questions quickly and effectively, whether they come from stakeholders or are self-identified through your team’s analysis.
- Storytelling & Influence: Translate complex analysis into compelling narratives that inspire action at every level of the business.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across departments (Marketing, Finance, Product, Technology, and more), acting as a trusted advisor and proactive partner.
- Prioritisation & Clarity: Own the intake and triage of requests, bringing structure and transparency to what the team is working on and why.
- Mentor, develop, and inspire a team of analysts—setting goals, running regular 1:1s, and building commercial acumen and confidence.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and learning—constantly seeking ways to improve how we deliver insight and support the business.
- Support Analytics Transformation: Play a key role in centralising analytics as a cross-departmental function, helping to define standards, processes, and best practices for the future.
Skills, Experience & Competencies
- Significant experience in business analytics, insight generation, or performance reporting roles.
- Deep curiosity about customer and consumer behaviour, with a proven ability to interpret the “why” behind the data—not just the “what”.
- Exceptional data storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to turn analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience engaging, influencing and presenting to Senior stakeholders, translating complex data into clear business focused Insights and compelling narratives that support and drive decision making.
- Strong prioritisation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience leading and or mentoring a team of analysts.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver impactful insight under tight deadlines.
- Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, marketing, and customer teams.
- Commercial acumen and a passion for building capability in others.
- Experience in customer research, feedback interpretation, or embedding customer understanding in business decisions.
Core Attributes

- Collaborative: Builds strong relationships and works seamlessly across teams.
- Curious: Always learning, experimenting, and seeking better ways to deliver value.
- Accountable: Takes ownership for outcomes, follows through on actions, and holds others to high standards.
- Empowering: Coaches and develops others, building a culture of autonomy and growth.
- Energetic: Brings positivity, drive, and a sense of possibility to every challenge.
- Customer-Centric: Champions the customer perspective and behavioural understanding in every conversation and decision.
