Riverway Foods, formerly a family-owned business based in Harlow, Essex, is now part of the CPC Group. We produce high-quality sausages supplied to major retailers including Aldi and Tesco.
The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer supports factory operations by resolving breakdowns and executing planned maintenance. Engineers are also expected to drive improvements related to machinery, hygiene, quality, and performance across the site.
Responsibilities include:
- Proactive and reactive maintenance, ensuring work is performed to high standards.
- Working closely with Production Teams to minimize downtime.
Candidates must be qualified Multi-Skilled Engineers with a sense of urgency to repair machinery promptly. This role requires flexibility and candidates should be within commuting distance to Harlow.
Essential Qualifications:
- Apprentice-trained in Electrical and Mechanical engineering disciplines
- NVQ Level 3 or above / ONC / HNC in Electrical and Mechanical engineering
- 18th Edition Electrical Regulations Certificate
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience in engineering within an FMCG or food production environment preferred, but candidates with strong electrical engineering experience will be considered
- Familiarity with UK electrical regulations and industrial electrical standards
- PLC diagnostic skills (not programming)
- Continuous improvement techniques and problem-solving skills
- Accurate, methodical work approach, confident communication, and understanding of customer impact
- Flexible attitude and self-motivated initiative
