Operating in the UK company and Lloyd’s of London markets, Bermuda, U.S., and Europe, RiverStone International has transacted a wide variety of deals – from insurance and reinsurance portfolio transfers to company purchases, acquiring over $17.7 billion of gross liabilities since 2010 and with around $6.7 billion of liabilities currently under management.
The role provides actuarial support and analysis across reserving, capital modelling and regulatory reporting activities. The role involves contributing to reserve assessments, portfolio monitoring, due diligence exercises and validation of the Solvency II Internal Model, as well as supporting regulatory submissions to bodies such as the PRA and Lloyd’s. Working closely with the wider actuarial function and key internal and external stakeholders, the post holder is expected to maintain strong technical capability, progress professional development and operate in line with conduct and data protection requirements.
Requirements- Mathematic/statistical background
- Excellent academic record
- Actuarial or insurance/reinsurance working experience
- Making good progress with actuarial exams. We will also consider exceptional candidates who would like to start studying for the actuarial exams, or who have made some progress but have chosen to stop studying.
- Excellent Microsoft Office Applications including Excel to advanced level, with VBA
- Knowledge of ResQ
- Knowledge of reserving and capital modelling tools and techniques
- Knowledge of other in-house systems and procedures
- Knowledge of relevant classes of business
- Relevant Lloyd’s Bylaws, Codes of Practice, Market and Regulatory Bulletins
