We are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician Team member to join the Riverstone Fulham Maintenance team.

Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician

  • Ensuring that all planned and reactive maintenance is completed to the highest of standards and in a timely manner.
  • Carry out minor repairs and remedial works where safe and within your competence.
  • Monitor the reactive maintenance reporting system and prioritise your workload to deliver effective and efficient maintenance work.
  • Conduct Resident apartment maintenance, as required from the maintenance reporting system in agreed time frame and costs.
  • Ensure ownership of issues reported from initial report through to resolution, including communication and follow-up where necessary.
  • Accurate and prompt reporting of any maintenance issues or defects that require external support and expertise, including the reporting of major repair needs.
  • Conduct statutory checks in line with Riverstone’s maintenance program and accurately report issues across the Residence.
  • Conduct Daily checks on plant, equipment, swimming pool as per Riverstone’s Daily Check program.
  • Identify and resolve any safety hazards as discovered and/or reported by the residence team.
  • Undertake risk assessments of any remedial works as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensure effective waste management in the Residences.
  • Assist in the management of external 3rd party contractors.
  • Support with training of Residence management team on building systems and emergency procedures, especially emergency shut offs and correct protocol.
  • Participate in the maintenance on-call rota, responding to urgent building maintenance issues and providing out-of-hours support to ensure the safety, security and smooth operation of the Residence.

The key knowledge and skills you need

  • Demonstratable experience in a building maintenance role or discipline with minimum Level 2 related qualification
  • Good knowledge of multi trade maintenance
  • Electrically qualified/competent electrician
  • Grounds maintenance and gardening knowledge
  • Health and Safety Qualification e. g. IOSH Managing Safely
  • Experience performing statutory testing in the built environment
  • Leisure experience managing swimming pools, saunas, steam rooms
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills, you will be working closely with the Head of Facilities, Maintenance Manager, House Manager and be in direct contact with our residents.
