Riverstone offers a community for over 65’s that assists with maintaining an active, independent and rewarding lifestyle whilst offering the reassurance of service, security and well‑being support.

We are creating exceptionally designed developments exclusively for people over65.

It’s not just about a place to live, but a new way of living that enables them to live the life they want to live.

We want this to be a lifestyle full of choice, with wellbeing at its heart, that enables people to be active and social and continue learning until any age.

Our purpose-built Spas and Exercise Clubs combine exercise studios, the latest interactive and intuitive EGYM equipment, swimming pools, vitality pools, saunas and steam rooms.

All designed to help our residents, all of whom are over 65 years old, to live the life they want to live.

The Fitness Instructor will be responsible for delivering Riverstone’s core fitness offering, supporting residents to maintain or improve their physical strength, mobility, and confidence in a safe, welcoming environment.

  • This is for you if…
  • You want to take your experience and passion for fitness and well‑being and be part of creating a new lifestyle choice for the over-65s in central London, in a growth sector, without the job insecurity that can sometimes go with traditional roles and resilient to the impact of the pandemic.
  • You have a genuine and deep-rooted interest in others and enjoy building long‑term relationships.

You are a great listener, show real empathy and have that ‘real feel’ for how to anticipate the needs of others.

  • You are confident in supporting people at varying levels of independence and health, from highly active residents to those living with frailty.
  • You understand that this role isn’t just about delivering workouts, but being able to meet each resident where they are in their fitness journey and facilitate meaningful improvements in resident’s lives.
  • You enjoy taking on new/managing existing projects and demonstrating initiative where you see improvements to be made.
  • You have a recognised fitness qualification (minimum Level 3 Personal Trainer).
  • You have experience working with older adults and a genuine passion for later‑life well‑being.

Key responsibilities of the Fitness Instructor

  • Deliver resident gym inductions, including standardised functional mobility assessments, benchmarking them against age and sex matched normative data, and providing exercise programs.

  • A rewarding role
  • Starting salary of up to £20,840 prorated for 20 hours per week, based on experience, plus performance-related bonus.
