Role Overview
Manage the construction process of large complex multi-phase/consortia developments ensuring efficient and effective delivery to programme, budget, and in line with health, safety and environmental requirements and quality standards.

- Experience in a house building site management position within an established house building organisation for a minimum period of three years.

- Role Profile
- In pre-development/mobility phase provide input to Head of Construction and Contracts Manager including CEMP, development programme, prelim schedule, construction phase plan, and statutory notifications.
- Support Contracts Manager in leading the development team during pre-development/mobility to meet key milestones.
- On multi-phase or consortia developments co‑ordinate construction operatives between work streams/developers ensuring legal requirements and programme timescales.
- Monitor groundworkers during their tenure as Principal Contractor under CDM 2015 ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained.
- Assist technical and commercial departments with reviewing drawings, producing tender information, trade specifications and delivery requirements.
- Help commercial department resolve disputes with subcontractors, providing detailed records and negotiation support.
- Ensure construction works comply with HSE legislation and company policies; lead HSE inspections using Zutec system.
- Supervise and manage contractors and labour to meet high workmanship standards and programme commitments.
- Submit weekly progress reports to Head of Construction, highlighting issues and mitigation plans.
- Control budgets, minimise variations, liaise with commercial department.
- Ensure compliance with planning, highway, and environment approvals.
- Deliver a 5‑star product, minimise snags, and conduct post‑completion customer visits and demonstrations.
- Maintain customer satisfaction with HBF CSS rating of at least 5‑star and survey response rate of 60 %.
- Chair weekly subcontractor coordination and sales build meetings, ensuring programme, quality, HSE, and cost discussions.
- Attend development team meetings, contribute to performance discussions, and collate handover pack information.
- Ensure site security, segregation, cleanliness, and safety.
- Assist marketing with on‑site filming.
- Follow company procedures at all times.
- Provide ad‑hoc cover on other sites as required.
- Maintain good relationships with subcontractors, material supply chains, NHBC inspectors, consultants, and maintain accurate records.
