Riverside Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join a busy and growing food production business near Penrith, Cumbria.

If you're the kind of person who enjoys working out how all the pieces fit together, this could be the role for you!

This is not just a desk-based supply chain role.

You'll be involved in the day-to-day operation, from orders coming in each morning through to scheduling production, setting up machinery and helping make sure everything runs smoothly.

What will you be doing?

  • Reviewing customer orders as they come in each morning
  • Planning and scheduling production requirements
  • Working out the most efficient way to meet demand
  • Setting up machinery ready for production
  • Coordinating with production teams throughout the day
  • Monitoring schedules and making adjustments when things change
  • Working with figures, quantities, timings and production data
  • Identifying and solving problems quickly
  • Supporting the implementation of new processes and improvements
  • Helping improve efficiency across the operation
  • Ensuring orders are produced and ready on time
  • Working closely with colleagues across the business
