Job Description
Night Support Assistant – Permanent – Salary: £28,155.84 per annum. Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, full time. Working pattern: 21:00–08:45 and/or 21:15–08:30. Location: Cliff Road, Camden.

You will provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable people, helping them maintain their homes and live in the community, monitoring wellbeing and referring to specialist staff. Your priority is the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our accommodation, including our customers.
Responsibilities will include
- Providing waking night staff cover on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Completing and coordinating nightly patrols in and out of the building to maintain high standards of security and to attend to customers\’ night time needs, including welfare checks as needed.
- Assisting in maintaining customer files and ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date records of support provided in accordance with company policies.
- Participating in handovers with the day staff at the start and end of each shift.

Role Profile
Service Delivery
- Provide waking night staff cover on a rota basis, including weekends.
- Ensure the project adheres to all standards set by One Support.
- Participate in handovers with day staff at the start and end of each shift.
- Complete and coordinate nightly patrols to maintain security and attend to customers\’ night time needs.
- Take all reasonable precautions for health and safety, including fire procedure, room checks and inspections.
- Carry out welfare checks on customers as necessary throughout the night.
Customer Support
- Accessible and responsive to customers’ concerns and requests for information.
- Assist customers in maintaining high standards of healthcare and personal hygiene.
- Enable customers to get involved in the running of the service through consultation and participation.
- Ensure customers are fully informed and familiar with local practice and procedures, including Health and Safety Regulations and fire drills.
- Ensure other team members are aware of relevant customer issues.
- Assist in maintaining customer files and ensuring accurate records in accordance with HCS policies, including the MPS IT system.
- Keep customers informed of changes in local practice and procedures.
Other Information
- Work flexible hours to meet customer and business needs, which may not include normal office hours.
- Use the Lone Worker system when necessary.
- Ensure customers are safe at all times, following Riverside’s policies on health & safety, safeguarding, dignity at work, GDPR, cash handling and more.
