About us: We’re looking for a Head Chef for the Riverside in Vauxhall as we look to develop an exciting food offer. We’re looking to make the Riverside famous for seafood – think crustacean celebrations, catch of the day, briny bites and hands-on dining. From creative small plates, sharers and feasting platters to delicate main courses, alongside a few pub classics.

The ideal candidate is someone who sees seafood differently (pardon the pun!). You’ll create your own recipes and have a passion for working with fresh seafood. You’ll look after all aspects of kitchen management and lead and develop the team in the kitchen. We want a head chef who is confident creating dishes that are a hit with large groups, as well as intimate diners, and is passionate about delivering perfect plates of food. They will also be able to elevate our Sunday offer all year round, which is a key part of our business.

We take food seriously and want to add some fun to our premium setting - think Oysters on the bar, popcorn cockles, mussels, a classic plaice dish, in a fantastic location with a solid customer base as we aim to Make Seafood Great Again. The Riverside is a vibrant Young's pub located in the heart of Vauxhall, London. We offer a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, with a modern and elegant British pub feel – making this the perfect place to unwind after a long day or catch up with friends over a pint. From floor-to-ceiling glass windows to contemporary interiors, the Riverside provides an elegant and stylish ambience. Our venue features a spacious outdoor terrace overlooking the Thames, offering stunning views of London's skyline. The Riverside is also available for private hire, making it the perfect venue for special occasions and corporate events.

Being a Head Chef at Young's: We believe every pub should be different. This means that you’ll be writing your own recipes that match the food vision of your business using fresh seasonal ingredients. The food vision could be all about showcasing local produce, country pub classics, seafood, small plates and sharers, dry-aged meat - each pub is different and it's up to you as head chef to put your own creative stamp on that vision. We work with fresh, seasonal produce, so the menu should constantly evolve to showcase these fantastic ingredients when they are at their best. Premium fresh food crafted by skilled chefs in Premium Pubs.
