We are looking for someone with the following abilities:
- Ability to use power tools
- Competent in basic DIY
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and tools
- Experience with powered equipment including hoovers and hand tools
- Full clean UK driving licence
Role Profile
Cleaning duties:
- Vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, mopping, litter picking and dog waste removal
- Use of hand tools, drills, jet washers, carpet washers and buffing machines
- Basic DIY: painting, hole filling, fixing loose door handles, minor repairs
- Maintenance of car parks and bin sheds
- Clearance of bulk waste where not delegated to bulk waste team
- Reporting to management: health and safety concerns and issues affecting maintenance
- Maintain good relationships with residents and colleagues
- Occasional cover for other staff due to sickness, holidays, etc.
- Weed control, sweeping, litter picking and general grounds maintenance where trained
- Patrol duties: checking faulty street lamps and anti‑social behaviour evidence
- Attend sites to clear bulk waste and fly‑tipped rubbish
- Skim bins when collection missed

Essential
- Knowledge of cleaning tools and product selection
- Knowledge of power tools
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Experience with powered equipment (hoovers, hand tools)
- Appropriate competency‑based training and experience
- Knowledge and use of PPE
- Risk perception: identify risks to passers‑by during operations
