Responsibilities
- The Activities Co‑ordinator is responsible for developing a comprehensive directory of services and opportunities to support customers of Riverside’s Supported Housing schemes.
- Develop links with local organisations to maximise opportunities for individual growth and provide support and advice to the team on opportunities for individuals.
- Develop a programme of group activities across the pathway, delivered in a variety of locations, taking into account customer strengths and goals.
- Work as part of a staff team committed to best practice in the social housing field.
About You
- Experience of working with vulnerable customer groups.
- Experience of delivering structured support in either housing or social care.
- Demonstrable IT skills, including basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and a willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Care and Support.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the PIE approach.

Role Profile Accountabilities
- Deliver a best practice support service appropriate to customers’ needs.
- Co‑ordinate customer activities and support Journey Coaches in development and delivery of support/resettlement activities.
- Ensure delivery of a programme of internal and external activities and opportunities, reflective of different customer needs, including culture and diversity issues.
- Assist Journey coaches to support customers with day‑to‑day tenancy issues, payment of rent, claiming benefits and linking in with external resources or developing relevant groups.
- Support with referrals and assessments where required, working with potential customers to identify the most appropriate activity solutions.
- Ensure customers have access to relevant external support services.
- Support Journey Coaches to meet clearly defined customer outcome targets through key working, support plans, risk assessments and other interventions.
- Ensure opportunities for education, training and employment are integral to the support service, enabling customers to develop life skills to live independently.
- Promote and encourage high customer involvement, consultation and communication.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all activities, including the maintenance of a support planning database.
- Carry out regular surveys and inclusion solutions to ensure the programme meets the needs of all customers.
- Work in line with health and safety and safeguarding requirements to ensure customer safety and security.
- Maintain current knowledge around specialisms and share specialist knowledge with colleagues to continuously improve service delivery.
