The Resident Safety Coordinator - Fire Safety and PEEPs provides essential support to the Building Safety Team by coordinating, administering, and monitoring activities related to Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) and person-centred fire risk assessments (PCFRAs). The postholder ensures residents who require additional evacuation support are identified, assessed, and appropriately supported, and that all PEEP-related activity is recorded, monitored, and delivered in line with statutory requirements, internal policies and the emerging Residential PEEPs legal framework.
About You
- Experience in the building industry, ideally in a customer-focused role
- Experience working within a Building Safety, Housing, Asset Compliance, Fire Safety, or Health & Safety team
- Strong administrative and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Experience of using housing or compliance systems (e.g., C365, Open Housing, Promaster)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage confidently with vulnerable residents and professionals
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, track actions and identify priorities
Responsibilities
- Assist managers and duty holders by monitoring referrals, requests, resident changes, and building risk information to identify customers who may require a PEEP
- Allocate PEEP/PCFRA & Fire Door assessments to the appropriate surveyors or building safety officers and ensure clear communication of required actions
- Track and chase outstanding assessments, reviews and actions to ensure compliance with internal timeframes and regulatory expectations
- Input, update and maintain all PEEPs and PCFRAs on the organisation’s compliance and housing systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and secure handling of sensitive personal information
- Assist in managing incoming enquiries relating to resident evacuation needs, PEEP requests, safeguarding flags, and vulnerabilities
- Support the creation of Salesforce cases to ensure full audit trails for decisions, enquiries, actions and resident communication
- Support the production and issuing of resident communication letters, follow ups, consent forms and appointment scheduling
- Coordinate access arrangements for staff, surveyors, residents, carers and external professionals to support the completion of assessments and follow up actions
- Manage PEEP scheduling, diary planning and coordination across multiple buildings, ensuring efficient use of internal resource
- Liaise with Building Safety Inspectors, Surveyors and Scheme Managers to clarify risks, queries, recommendations or required mitigation measures
- Provide clear, supportive, and accurate advice to residents, families, carers and staff regarding the PEEP process

Additional Information
- The Group has offices across the UK and there will be a requirement to travel to other locations to effectively perform this role

- You must hold a current, valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle, when required
