We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Riverside Vets.

Location: to be based across our three sites: Armadale, Bathgate and Livingston

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 25.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, with shifts between 08:30 – 18:00 and a share in the Saturday 08:30 – 12:00 rota

About the role

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

What we\\\’re looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist

  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
