The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 Β£ per year.
Working under the direct supervision of the Nurse Site Lead and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the Healthcare Assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care. You will support the equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleagues and manage their own and others health and safety and infection control as defined in the practice Health & Safety Policy, the practice Health & Safety Manual, and the practice Infection Control Policy and published procedures.

- To undertake patient Home Visits
- To process and manage laboratory samples requested by GP/Nurses
- To maintain surgical equipment
- To prepare and maintain environments & equipment

Job responsibilities:

- To undertake patient Home Visits for Long Term Conditions Review working within own competency and as delegated by qualified nurse within relevant field of care (e.g. Diabetes, CHD etc)
- To support and assist qualified nurses within Diabetes/Respiratory Clinics
- To process and manage laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses
- To clean and maintain surgical equipment
- To stock rotate surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking
- To prepare and maintain environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions
- To assist in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
- To undertake specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual
- To help raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
- To assist with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
- To assist in clinics such as coil and Implanon insertion and removal
- To assist in preparation for yearly calibration of practice equipment
- To complete patient notes and tasks on clinical system relative to job role
- Other tasks delegated by the Nurse Site Lead
- To clear and re-stock consulting rooms
Qualifications:
- GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths
- HCA Experience in General Practice
- Qualified in Phlebotomy
- Knowledge of SystmOne
- Good IT Skills and IT Literacy
- Ability to Work in a Busy Environment
