A new opportunity has arisen with Sandown Motor Group for an experienced Parts Advisor at their retailer in Poole. The Company Sandown Motor Group have over 30 years of experience selling and servicing Mercedes‑Benz cars. A privately owned group, the Sandown name has an immensely proud heritage with Mercedes‑Benz, which means that they are experts in this iconic brand. Their simple goal is to deliver the most outstanding service from each of their sites in Guildford, Basingstoke, Poole, Dorchester, Salisbury, Newbury, Hindhead and Epsom.
The main purpose of the Parts Advisor role is to receive all parts orders and ensure that they are accurately interpreted and promptly picked and despatched for retail, trade, and internal/workshop customers.
Main Duties:
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with all customers to gain new and repeat business.
- Receive all parts orders, interpreting customer requirements and giving advice on any additional requirements or prices, matching orders against stock items and advising customer of any items which are not stocked or need ordering.
- Locate unavailable items from other dealerships and arrange for delivery or pass order to stock control for orders to be raised.
- Ensuring that all orders taken are fully completed, invoiced, and despatched as scheduled and that the customer is kept fully informed of progress or of any problems.
- Make sure that all customer complaints are dealt with both speedily and effectively, referring any unresolved problems to the Parts Supervisor.
- Ensure that all Company and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and that all statutory requirements including trading standards, fire, health, and safety are adhered to.
- Handle all internal and external customers and suppliers with courtesy and ensure the Mercedes‑Benz experience is always delivered to all contacts.
About You:
You will have previous experience working in a motor trade parts environment. You will have experience of working with a dealership management system (DMS) such as Kerridge, along with fabulous customer service skills, excellent time management skills and be able to develop relationships effortlessly. You will need to have a full driving licence.
On Offer:
- Salary up to £30,809.01 per year, including commission.
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday 0800-1730, Saturdays on a rota basis 0800-1400 (42.5 hours).
