Passenger Car Breakdown Technician (Mercedes-Benz) £17 to £19 p/hr dependent on experience. Overtime paid at time and a half. 40 hours, 08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday. 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Overview

Rygor Group seeks an experienced, qualified car and/or van technician to join the new Mercedes-Benz aftersales dealership in Heathrow. As a breakdown technician you will keep customers’ vehicles on the road through quality, safe and compliant maintenance, delivering an exceptional service aligned with the Mercedes‑Benz and Rygor brands.

Day to day responsibilities

  • Attending roadside breakdowns for Mercedes‑Benz vehicles
  • Carrying out various mobile repairs for specific fleet customers
  • Providing STAR quality service to all Rygor customers
  • Working to achieve the highest level of roadside fix and encouraging customers to become Rygor customers and use our workshop
  • Completing own admin tasks and ensuring daily communication back to the site of all work carried out
  • Ensuring vehicle condition meets expected standards of appearance and operation
  • Maintaining the correct level of stock on the breakdown vehicle to meet customer demands

Skills

  • Experience in diagnostic and service repairs; ability to identify worn or faulty components in accordance with DVSA standards
  • Current full UK driving licence for the relevant vehicle classes
  • Resilience – strong coping skills when faced with challenges
  • Motivation – key for personal and team success
  • Attention to detail – precision in diagnosing and repairing to meet safety and performance standards
  • Time management – prioritise and complete tasks within timeframes
