Light Vehicle MOT tester in Westbury with a salary of £30,000-£36,000 per annum DOE. The role requires 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30, with Saturday morning work on a rota of 4-5 hours.
Day to day, you will be:
- Carrying out MOT tests on retail and internally prepared workshop vehicles to the highest possible standards.
- Maintaining continued and updated communication with Service Reception regarding MOT test positions for accurate and time-sensitive customer communication.
- Conducting on-site MOT lane performance reports to Management teams.
- Performing regular auditable equipment and facility safety checks.
- Completing MOT logs along with DVSA reportable data.
- Assisting with DVSA visit checks and working with any alterations or actions from site visits.
- Ensuring upkeep of facility/MOT lane and associated areas to the required standards.
Skills & Behaviours Required for this Role:
- Qualification: Level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in PC/LCV Vehicle Repair and maintenance.
- Experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs.
- Ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with DVSA Standards.
- A current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes.
