An exciting opportunity has been created at Toyota GB, who are seeking to recruit an Academy Operations Team Leader through their partner, AGA Performance.

The Role: You will be responsible for managing the Academy operations to ensure smooth running in line with the service level agreement. You will provide regular proactive monitoring, data analysis and reporting against KPIs. Your responsibilities include managing the Academy Support Team to ensure a customer-first service is provided to the network and all TGB stakeholders. Work closely with the training leader(s), Toyota Motors Europe (TME) and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless service delivery.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • Specific line management responsibilities (for example, quarterly reviews, annual reviews, performance management development, etc)
  • Proactive data management not transactional, but linked to awareness of corporate / TME / Network goals and requirements to make value-add recommendations
  • Proactively investigate and interpret data from both the Academy and other Business areas to make recommendations for future programme improvement, supporting change
  • Proactive awareness of wider organisational priorities in TME, TGB and the Network, to ensure all activity (e.g. course scheduling, demand, licencing status) is completed in a timely and commercially sensitive way
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (e.g. for trainer utilisation, licensing requirements, etc.) to ensure that core processes meet minimum required levels and that shortfalls or gaps are identified sufficiently in advance so that they can be addressed
  • Seek out opportunities for Academy working practice and system (SABA) efficiencies, which will enable increased levels of automation and dashboard data to support the Network's ability to self-serve information
  • Seek out opportunities to standardise and improve feedback gathering, analysis and reporting, ensuring that insights are actionable and reported on
  • Maintain smooth operational performance of the Academy, ensuring TGB Management is kept updated on relevant developments
  • Conduct data analysis and produce monthly progress reports, as per the reporting mechanisms provided, of progress against KPIs
  • Undertake planning and scheduling of Toyota Academy Support Team activities, identifying key priorities and keeping track of team member workloads and capacity
  • Role model customer-centric behaviours in communications with Toyota colleagues, Centre staff and Suppliers
  • Seek out opportunities for operational efficiencies and improvements in the Academy's working practices and processes, to ensure they are streamlined and effective
  • Escalate any issues as appropriate to ensure delivery of Academy SLAs in line with contractual arrangements
  • Act as the first point of contact for all day-to-day Academy team queries

Operations:

  • Actively engage with the team to enable positive working practices/relationships and promote a collaborative relationship between Burnaston (Derbyshire) and Burgh Heath (Epsom) teams
  • Attend stakeholder meetings as required by the TGB Senior Manager
  • Proactively deal with any performance issues and take appropriate steps to ensure high standards of performance and a positive team culture are the norm

About you:

You will need to have line management experience, creating a collaborative and inclusive working environment. You will have high personal standards of achievement, be curious, and have a collaborative approach, considering stakeholders across the organisation. You will be able to analyse and interpret data effectively, and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will have exceptionally well-organised and be agile and responsive to change. You will be confident with the ability to delegate. You will be able to develop relationships effortlessly and have fabulous customer service skills. You will be a great problem solver, with fabulous influencing skills, to be able to drive continuous improvement.

You will need:

  • A full driving licence
  • The ability to travel to the TGB Training Academy in Derbyshire (possibly once a month)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

On Offer:

  • Salary £50,000 per annum
  • 24 days holiday a year, plus bank holidays
