A rare and exciting opportunity has been created at Mercedes-Benz of Poole for an experienced Transaction Manager.

Mercedes-Benz of Poole forms part of the Sandown Motor Group and has over 30 years of experience selling and servicing Mercedes-Benz cars. A privately owned group, the Sandown name has an immensely proud heritage with Mercedes-Benz, which means that they are experts in this iconic brand. Their simple goal is to deliver the most outstanding service from each of their sites in Guildford, Basingstoke, Poole, Dorchester, Salisbury, Hindhead, Epsom, Farnborough, and Newbury.

The Role

The purpose of the Transaction Manager is to create an engaging retail experience for new and used car buyers so that the customer does not buy a car from anywhere but Sandown. Ultimately, delivering this experience will improve sales conversion, profitability and loyalty. The Transaction Manager is responsible for enhancing customer relationships and progressing the sale of the car, F&I, service plans and accessories. Crucial to this role is the ability to gain customer trust and build loyalty to Sandown. Responsibilities will include part exchange valuations, finance package tailoring and delivering sales results for the branch. There are 8 Sales Executives at Poole at the moment, and a team of 3 TMs who work with them.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide class-leading customer service
  • Ensure the sales process is adhered to
  • Distribute and manage leads with the sales executives
  • Have detailed knowledge of every enquiry
  • Encourage appointments at the showroom
  • Second face every customer
  • Ensure follow-up after enquiry, in line with Sandown SLAs
  • Produce finance quotes and proposals
  • Appraise part exchanges and provide valuations
  • Assist with the sale of the car, accessories, paint protection and insurance products
  • Close sales
  • Report to line manager on deal-by-deal basis on all income generated
  • Conduct regular diary reviews
  • Mentor and develop a team of Sales Executives
  • Identify renewal opportunities from existing Sandown customers

About you

The successful candidate will have previous business management or transaction management experience from within a franchised dealer group. You will be FCA Accredited, have knowledge of finance and related systems, knowledge of insurance products and an understanding of car valuations. You will have great interpersonal and communication skills, fantastic organisational skills, and attention to detail. You will also have excellent IT skills and be able to develop relationships effortlessly.

On Offer

Basic £30,000 OTE £60,000
Company vehicle
The showroom is open from 8.00 - 18.30 Monday to Friday, Saturday 8:30 – 17:00 and Sunday 10:00 – 16:00. Weekend work on a rota basis will be required however; a 5-day week will be worked. Total: 42.5 hours per week
