We are delighted to be partnering with a highly reputable and long‑established manufacturing business that continues to expand. As part of their ongoing growth, they are seeking a skilled Slitter Operator to join their team on a permanent basis. This position involves operating, setting up, and closely monitoring industrial slitting machinery. You will load heavy industrial reels onto the machine, calculate the required measurements, and set the machine to produce precise cuts. The role requires physical strength, strong numerical ability, and a keen eye for detail.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Setting up & running industrial slitting machines
- Loading heavy reels & ensuring accurate measurements
- Monitoring quality and maintaining high production standards
- Reporting issues & helping improve machine performance
- Working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment
To be considered you will have:
- Previous experience as a Slitter Operator (Titan, Ldec / DCM Usimeca) or experience with similar industrial guillotine‑type machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to meet targets within a fast‑paced production environment.
- Experience working with factory machinery and following production schedules.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes.
Hours: Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern – candidates must be able to work all three:
- 6am to 2pm (6am to 11.30am on Friday)
- 2pm to 10pm (11.30am to 5pm on Friday)
- 10pm to 6am (5pm to 10.30pm on Friday)
All breaks are paid for.
