We are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join our client’s project team based in Sellafield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to support a busy project environment within one of the UK's most highly regulated sectors.
Working closely with project managers and operational teams, you will provide essential administrative support, ensuring compliance records, training documentation, project paperwork, and general administration are maintained to the highest standard.
The Role
As an Administration Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth delivery of project activities across the site. This is a varied position requiring excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and updating SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel) packs, including monitoring subcontractor compliance
- Tracking competency, training requirements, and certification renewals for project personnel
- Coordinating site-specific training, inductions, and mandatory courses
- Liaising with training providers, HR, and management teams to arrange training activities
- Maintaining accurate digital and physical training records
- Scheduling meetings and coordinating diaries for project personnel
- Tracking actions arising from meetings and following up on outstanding tasks
- Assisting with the preparation, updating, and organisation of project documentation
- Supporting the production of reports, compliance documents, and submission packs
- Maintaining version control and structured filing systems
- Processing purchase orders, timesheets, expenses, and general project administration
- Acting as an administrative point of contact for the project team and supporting wider business functions
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous administration experience within a similar role
- Valid P4 Pass holder is essential
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Able to work with confidential and compliance-sensitive documentation
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently using their own initiative
