I am seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join a precision engineering company based in Rugby. This company is a specialist in precision engineering, manufacturing high-tolerance components for the medical, aerospace and motorsport sectors. With CNC capabilities and quality standards, they produce complex parts that meet the demanding requirements of safety-critical and performance-driven industries. Their commitment to quality and precision has made them a trusted supplier worldwide. This is to work a 4 day week.
Location: Rugby
Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am – 4pm
Salary: £37,500.00 - £43,500.00 DOE
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery (Fixed Heads), producing components, managing tool set up and ensuring high quality output throughout production.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to carry and complete CNC machine set ups on fixed head turning
- Produce first off parts and complete checks before full production runs
- Work to engineering drawings
- Adjust tooling and offsets
- Monitor and inspect wear and damage on all machinery and escalate where needed
- Operation and management of CNC machines during the production process
- Daily / Weekly / Monthly maintenance of machinery
- Update and record production data
- Support continuous improvement and communicate effectively
To be considered:
- Strong knowledge in CNC machinery and Fixed turning
- Ability to read program code and identify errors
- Demonstrate and work in high pressure situations
- IT skills
- Strong knowledge of all materials and cutting grades
- Proven experience within operating CNC machinery
