I am looking for a talented Technical Illustrator to join a team based in Radstock on a permanent basis. This role will be working closely with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing and Product Development teams, you will transform technical information into user-friendly manuals, installation guides and visual documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to start their career or experienced candidates from a relevant industry. The ideal applicant will have strong technical illustration and creative skills, with the ability to modernise and enhance existing technical documentation, product data and visual building illustrations.

Responsibilities:
  • Create technical illustrations, assembly drawings, installation guides and product manuals.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, BOMs and technical specifications.
  • Produce clear documentation for partitioning, glazing, doors, frames and related products.
  • Transform complex technical information into clear visual content for a range of audiences.
  • Collaborate with Design, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Manage document standards, branding, revision control and technical accuracy.
  • Update documentation following product, engineering and process changes.
  • Support continuous improvement of product understanding, installation efficiency and customer experience.
To be considered:
  • Experience in technical illustration, documentation, graphic design or CAD within a manufacturing, construction or technical environment.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or Revit.
  • Understanding of manufacturing, assembly and installation processes.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify technical information.
  • Excellent organisation, attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage document revisions effectively.
