Riverside Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a growing abattoir near Wigton, recently under new ownership and entering a new phase of investment and development. We are recruiting for experienced Lamb Line Operatives to join their expanding team.

?? Key Responsibilities:
Humane and efficient slaughter of lamb in line with regulations
Skilled butchery, knife handling and hide removal
Ensuring correct carcass breakdown and quality control
Maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards
Working collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets

?? Requirements:
Proven experience working on a lamb line in a slaughterhouse or meat processing facility
Skilled in knife work and butchery
Understanding of animal welfare and food safety procedures
Physically fit and able to work in a demanding environment
Comfortable with the nature of abattoir work (blood, carcasses, etc.)
Own transport essential due to rural site location
Reliable, punctual, and team-focused

20-minute paid morning break + 30-minute lunch break
