I’m urgently seeking a Finance Officer to join a company based in Paulton on a permanent basis. This role is to start as soon as possible. You will be working in a very small office, sometimes solely, however there are people in and out daily. The office working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm however this comes with flexibility. Working remote/hybrid is a possibility for the right candidate. This is a great opportunity to work for a great company. Starting salary will be £31,200.00pa (pro-rata). This is a 30 hours pw contract worked over 5 days.

My client designs and manufactures logistics products to assist you move items with speed and efficiency. You are responsible for the oversight of the business’s income and expenditure, bookkeeping, financial claims, banking and invoicing. You will be reporting and budget forecasting including fixed assets. You will be the first point of call and contact for all finance and contract queries. There is an office dog, so you must be a dog lover.

Main Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Organisation of role responsibilities, timetable, and deadlines to meet financial objectives and deliverables.
  • Preparation of quotes, purchase orders and invoices.
  • Management of accounts receivable and payable.
  • Data entry and maintenance of finance transactions using SAGE.
  • Credit control.
  • Production of monthly and quarterly management accounting information.
  • Budget preparation and reporting.
  • Cash flow reporting, income, expenditure, and forecasting.
  • Provide and interpret finance information.
  • Payment of monthly and weekly salaries.
  • Management of petty cash systems.
  • Bank reconciliation.

To be considered:

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel & Word.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team.
  • SAGE qualification or proven experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting or finance role.
  • Minimum Level 3 AAT (or proven experience).
