I have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to work on a small site, based on the outskirts of Midsomer Norton. This busy national organisation is a manufacturing company that works with an array of sectors within the construction supply chain. They offer and deliver a wide range of bespoke products and solutions for their customer base across the UK.
Location: Midsomer Norton
Hours: 39 hours per week across 4 or 5 days
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Disclosed on Application, Annual bonus & optional overtime + 10% matched pension
The successful candidate will supervise a team of 2 and provide capable recognition with people management, engineering and technical expertise and advice, by facilitating continuous improvement across the manufacturing site. This is a dual-focus role requiring both office administration and practical application. This role could be beneficial for an individual who has been electrically biased historically. This is to work either a 4 or 5 day week. If you choose to work a 4 day week, due to weekly planned maintenance, your 4-day working week will include Fridays.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and elevate efficient communication of the company, factory and team plans by focusing on positive objectives
- Structured development of your team performance
- Adhere to company and factory compliance policy and procedures
- Assess production and process data by achieving targets and objectives
- Advancement of systems and standards within the engineering environment
- Utilise a computerised maintenance system for PPMs and stock control
To be considered:
- Knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Previous experience in a supervisory/management role
- Ability to communicate with others in a harmonious manner
- Competent user of Microsoft applications alongside CMS and PPM systems
- Experience with absence management, assessments and problem solving
